Case 1: Leveraging Broad Match Keywords

Situation

One of the largest online shops for candle-making supplies in Canada aims to boost revenue and return on ad spend. The current search campaigns have been active for over 2 years, and there has been a decline in traffic over the last few months.

Task

Increase Revenue from Google search campaigns.

Action

After a thorough analysis, I concluded that exact match keywords did not yield as strong results as two or even one year ago. I decided to test broad match keywords and created an experiment on Google Ads.

Result

  • Revenue went up by 33%
  • Return on ad spend went up by 25%
  • Ad spend went up by only 6%
